The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission recently complied with a federal court order to release a mailing list containing the names and addresses of individuals and companies that are either potentially impacted or interested in the development of the proposed Palomar Gas Transmission pipeline. Only about a third of the individuals on the list own property on the proposed pipeline route.
Two environmental groups sued FERC to make the list public. Palomar Gas Transmission opposed publication of the list on grounds that it constitutes a violation of the right to privacy of those on the mailing list.
Find out more about the issue in a letter to stakeholders from Henry Morse Jr., project manager for the proposed pipeline.
